Smash Burger Taco

This unconventional yet irresistible Smash Burger Taco combines the best of two beloved culinary worlds into a handheld masterpiece.
Ingredients:
- 450 grams beef mince (20% fat)
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Large tortilla wraps
- Crunchy taco shells
- 1 pickle
- American cheese slices
- 1 onion
- 1 lettuce
Big M Sauce:
- 50 grams tomato ketchup
- 80 grams mayonnaise
- 20 grams mustard
- 2 teaspoon sweet relish
Step 1:
Mix the ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard and sweet relish together in a bowl to make the Big M sauce.
Step 2:
Shred the lettuce, dice the onions, and slice the pickle.
Step 3:
Divide the beef mince into four loose piles and season with salt, garlic powder and pepper.
Step 4:
Heat your Grillstream to 180°C.
Step 5
Form the mince into balls and place on your Gastro griddle or side griddle plate for 30 seconds.
Step 6:
Using a burger press or spatula, “Smash” the mince ball by pressing down flat onto the griddle surface.
Step 7:
Cook until a brown crust has formed and then flip to ensure even cooking.
Step 8:
Lay out the large tortilla wraps and spread your Big M sauce over the top. Layer on the lettuce, the cooked smash burger, followed by a slice of the cheese, onions and gherkin.
