Chicken Satay With Peanut Sauce

Whether served as an appetizer, a main course, or as part of a buffet spread, chicken satay with peanut sauce is a delightful dish that brings together a symphony of flavors and textures, making it a true crowd-pleaser across cultures and continents.

Ingredients:

Chicken Mix:

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 50 ml soy sauce
  • 200 ml of coconut milk
  • ½ tablespoon of ground ginger
  • ½ tablespoon of cumin
  • ¼ tablespoon of ground ginger Wooden skewers

Satay Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 200 ml of coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon of ground coriander
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar

Step 1:

Slice the chicken breast into medium sized strips.

Step 2:

Place the chicken mix into a bowl and rotate the strips in the sauce. Leave the mix in fridge to marinade overnight.

Step 3:

Thread the chicken strips onto water-soaked skewers.

Step 4:

Heat your Grillstream to a temperature of 180°C and place your Grillstream Wok on the Gastro system.

Step 5:

Add the satay sauce mix to your wok and heat until bubbles start to form. Stir the mix to prevent burning on the surface of your wok.

Step 6:

Place the chicken skewers on your Grillstream and cook until lightly golden. Brush the chicken with your satay sauce and cook until the chicken is golden brown (please refer to guide on page # for internal cooking temperatures).

Step 7:

Serve your skewers with the satay mix as a dipping sauce.
